Lotus Unveils Updated Emeya Sedan and Eletre SUV Starting at $74,800

In a strategic move to strengthen its position in the electric vehicle market, Lotus has officially launched updated versions of its Emeya sedan and Eletre SUV. These models, which were unveiled on September 21st, 2025, are set to captivate enthusiasts with their refined aesthetics and advanced technological features.
The refreshed Lotus Emeya and Eletre are designed to cater to a market that increasingly values both performance and luxury in electric vehicles. The Emeya sedan, starting at 538,000 yuan ($74,800), and the Eletre SUV, commencing at 558,000 yuan ($77,600), promise to enhance the driving experience with their state-of-the-art features. Notably, the Emeya retains its predecessor’s dimensions but introduces standard 21-inch 10-spoke grey forged wheels across all models, reflecting a subtle yet impactful upgrade.
Meanwhile, the Eletre SUV maintains its bold design with minor facelifts. This includes dynamic black badging, adding a touch of sophistication while keeping its previous dimensions intact. The 600 and 600 SE models come equipped with 6-piston fixed front and floating rear calipers, whereas the top-tier 900 model boasts a high-performance 10-piston carbon-ceramic braking system, setting a new standard for performance SUVs. Both the Emeya and Eletre models are powered by robust dual-motor all-wheel-drive systems, ensuring a seamless blend of power and efficiency.
Inside, the Lotus Emeya and Eletre continue to impress with their luxurious interiors. The Emeya features a 15.1-inch OLED central control screen and a 55-inch augmented reality heads-up display, which provides real-time road information, navigation, and assisted driving data. Similarly, the Eletre’s interior includes a 15-speaker KEF Premium audio system and 12-way power-adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation. The 900 models of both vehicles offer even more advanced features, highlighting Lotus's commitment to luxury and innovation.
Under the hood, both the Emeya and Eletre offer formidable powertrains. The 600 and 600 SE variants produce a combined power output of 450 kW (603 hp) and 710 Nm of torque, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in under 4.5 seconds. The flagship 900 models take performance to new heights with a power output of 675 kW (905 hp) and 985 Nm of torque, achieving 0-100 km/h in just under 3 seconds. These specifications underscore Lotus's prowess in engineering vehicles that blend high performance with sustainable technology.
The introduction of these new models comes at a time when Lotus is also exploring the plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) market. The Eletre PHEV, recently spotted during road tests in China, marks Lotus's strategic shift towards hybrid technology.
