In a bold move to reinforce its leadership in electric vehicle technology, Nissan has launched the all-new LEAF, a third-generation model that promises to set new standards in the EV market. With a remarkable range of up to 386 miles, advanced technology, and a sleek aerodynamic design, this new model is poised to attract a wide array of eco-conscious drivers.

The Nissan LEAF, originally introduced as the world’s first mass-market electric vehicle in 2011, returns with a host of new features designed to meet the demands of today’s environmentally-aware consumers. Built at Nissan's state-of-the-art EV manufacturing site in Sunderland, UK, the new LEAF debuted in Copenhagen and is set to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle segment. This latest model is not just about longer range; it embodies Nissan's commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Designed at Nissan’s Global Design Studio in Atsugi, Japan, the LEAF's new look emphasizes both style and functionality. Its aerodynamic design features a dynamic crossover appearance that reduces air resistance, contributing to its impressive range. The car boasts a drag coefficient of 0.25, which not only enhances efficiency but also gives it a commanding presence on the road. The exterior is complemented by features like flush-mounted door handles, sculpted surfaces, and a 3D tail light signature.

One of the standout aspects of the all-new LEAF is its battery options. Offering two battery configurations - 52kWh and 75kWh - the vehicle provides a range of 271 miles and 386 miles respectively. This flexibility allows drivers to choose based on their driving needs, whether it's daily commuting or longer road trips. With the capability to support 150kW DC fast charging, the LEAF can recover up to 273 miles in just 30 minutes, making it practical for long journeys.

The LEAF is built on the CMF-EV modular platform, shared with the Nissan Ariya, providing a smooth and agile driving experience. The vehicle features advanced driver assistance technologies such as e-Pedal Step, ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link, and a 3D Around View Monitor. These features enhance safety and convenience, allowing for a more controlled and enjoyable driving experience. The electric motor delivers an impressive 215hp and 355Nm of torque, making the LEAF not only efficient but also powerful.

Inside, the LEAF is designed for the connected driver. It features the NissanConnect system with Google built-in, providing seamless integration with everyday life. With twin 14.3” screens, drivers have access to Google Maps, Google Assistant, and a variety of apps through the Google Play Store. This connectivity is complemented by the NissanConnect Services app, which enables remote access to vehicle systems, ensuring the LEAF remains as functional and convenient as possible.

Production of the new LEAF is set to begin at Nissan’s Sunderland plant, using 20% renewable energy, with pre-orders starting soon and first deliveries expected in Spring 2026. This deployment marks a significant milestone in Nissan’s journey towards a more sustainable future, promising to provide customers with a vehicle that meets both their technological and ecological needs.
