The highly anticipated 2026 model year Voyah Dream, a sophisticated minivan from Dongfeng, has officially launched in China. This latest offering aims to strengthen its foothold in the burgeoning electric vehicle market with features that promise to redefine the MPV segment. With a starting price of 329,900 yuan, or approximately 46,300 USD, the Voyah Dream comes in both BEV and PHEV variants, integrating cutting-edge Huawei technology.
The Voyah Dream is not just another minivan; it marks a significant step forward in Dongfeng's commitment to sustainable transportation. Initially introduced in 2022, the Dream quickly gained popularity, selling over 85,000 units in just one year. This success was bolstered by an updated version that entered the market in 2024, featuring advanced Huawei technology. The latest iteration continues this trend, offering a blend of luxury and technology that appeals to modern consumers.
Aesthetically, the 2026 Voyah Dream retains the design ethos of its predecessor. The front features a striking chrome-plated grille with 34 bars, complemented by integrated LED headlights. Its sleek design is further accentuated by a flat roofline, blackened pillars, and a distinctive single taillight strip. Customers have a palette of six colors to choose from, including black, white, and purple, enhancing personalization.
Inside, the Dream combines functionality with opulence. The minivan's interior is designed with a 2+2+3 seating layout, ensuring comfort and space. The centerpiece of the interior is the 15.6-inch touchscreen powered by Huawei's HarmonyOS, which facilitates an intuitive user experience. For the driver, a 29-inch augmented reality head-up display provides essential information without distraction. The Qiankun variant, for instance, is equipped with Huawei's ADS4 driver assistance system, making it the first MPV in the world to offer such a feature. This system is supported by 192-line LiDAR and three millimeter-wave radars, enabling advanced autonomous driving functionalities like Navigate On Autopilot and Automatic Emergency Steering, which enhance safety and driving convenience.
Under the hood, the Voyah Dream offers two powertrain options. The PHEV variant includes a 62.5 kWh battery, delivering a range of up to 350 km under CLTC conditions. It is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and two electric motors, offering a combined output of 480 kW. Meanwhile, the BEV version boasts a 108.7 kWh battery and a maximum range of 700 km, appealing to those seeking longer electric-only driving.
Pricing for the Voyah Dream varies across its range, accommodating different consumer needs and preferences. The Kunpeng Pro PHEV starts at 329,900 yuan, while the top-tier Qiankun Ultra EV is priced at 439,900 yuan. These options reflect Dongfeng's strategy to capture a wide segment of the market, offering luxury and advanced technology at competitive prices.
